NG INVESTEERINGUD CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY
TALLINN, 02.09.2014 - Today, 2 September marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the investment and holding company NG Investeeringud. Jüri Käo, chairman of the board of the company said that these 20 years have been an exceptional era. We have had the unique experience to build up from zero one of the largest business concerns in Estonia.
“Looking back at these years today, we are glad to say that NG Investeeringud has done well. This primarily thanks to the people who have contributed to our company,” said Mr Käo.
NG Investeeringud was founded on the basis of reorganisation of the public company Norma in 1994. As a result of the reorganisations, Norma Liikmete AS (66%) became the owner of AS Norma. In 1996, the company was renamed Norma Grupp and in 1999, after the sale of the shares of Norma to the Swedish company Autoliv, NG Investeeringud. The first companies of the group were ice cream producer Balbiino from 1995 and commercial furniture saler Kitman Thulema from 1997. Since the year 2000, Liviko group and Tallinna Kaubamaja group belong to the NG Investeeringud concern, and real estate activities have been added.
Today, in total 24 active subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland belong to the NG Investeeringud concern. The 2013 consolidated sales revenue of NG Investeeringud reached 642 million euros and the companies of the group employ in total over 4,300 persons.
