Starting from 17 May 2010, AS Liviko, one of the leading alcohol companies in the Baltic States, will become the sole importer and representative of the international Bacardi-Martini Group in Estonia. Its subsidiary SIA Liviko took over representative rights for the group's products in Latvia in January this year.

"We have entrusted the representation of Bacardi-Martini to Liviko in addition to Latvia also in Estonia, because Liviko's growth on the Baltic markets and its work with its brands has been impressive and we believe it will ensure that our quality products will reach consumers on these markets, which have great potential," said Alejandro Ouziel, Area Director of Bacardi-Martini.

"Liviko is coming along nicely in the Baltic States, so we're really happy that the Bacardi-Martini Group have entrusted the representation and sales of their products in Estonia and Latvia to us. Winning those rights would be a feather in the cap of any alcohol company, so we're proud to be adding Bacardi-Martini to our import portfolio, which already boasts 600 brands - they're famous and popular all over the world. It's fantastic that in the space of just six months we've won the sales and representative rights to a partner like the Bacardi-Martini Group on two markets," said Janek Kalvi, chairman of the board of the Liviko group.

The contracts granting Liviko the exclusive right to represent and sell Bacardi-Martini Group products in Estonia and Latvia will see the addition of 29 alcoholic beverages to the group's portfolio. Along with the representation rights for world-renowned Bacardi rums, Martini vermouths and sparkling wines, Bombay Sapphire gin and Grey Goose vodka, the contracts will also provide the rights to Dewar's whiskeys, William Lawson's whiskey, Camino Real tequilas and Bénédictine liqueur.
