BALBIINO INCREASED ICE-CREAM SALES by 19%

In addition to ice cream sales, AS Balbiino also increased the sales volumes of another significant product group, frozen and chilled products, which grew by eight per cent in the first quarter, compared to the last year's result.

The entire turnover of AS Balbiino increased by 8.8 per cent compared to the previous year.Domestic sales increased by 9.6 per cent while export sales grew by two per cent.

The sales increase was driven by the Balbiino Koorejäätis (Cream Ice Cream) trademark under which the best selling products were Koorejäätis ice cream cones and new one-litre packages of Koorejäätis cream ice cream.Lumemarjajäätis (Snow Berry Ice Cream) which was reintroduced to the market last year also enjoyed a warm welcome from the consumers.

The ice creams of AS Balbiino comply with the requirements of the most demanding food safety and quality standards, and for the seventh year in a row, the company has received the most stringent proof of food safety in Europe - the BRC certificate.

Balbiino is fully owned by Estonian capital; the company belongs into the NG Investeeringud group of undertakings and employs approximately 300 persons.
